1. Imam Al-Khoei Online Book Store: This is the online catalog of the Al-Khoei Center in New York with English titles, as well as Arabic, Urdu, and Farsi.  Cheaper prices can sometimes be found elsewhere, so it pays to shop around.  But this site has a strong selection that is regularly updated, the best search options, fast shipping, and interactive features such as reviews by readers and updates.  You can also make secure donations to Shia Islamic charity needs from the store just as you would purchase a book.

2. Mehrab Publisher: This website is based in Canada.  It has a good selection that includes some titles rarely seen or unable elsewhere.  A few nice features are that you can add multiple items from  a page to your cart at once, you can easily convert currency, and you can pay conveniently by PayPal.  It is a little harder to search than some sites but worth spending the time.

3. Ansariyan Publication: The ultra-ubiquitous publisher ships from Iran, so to use this site you have to be willing to tolerate shipping times counted in months rather than days or weeks.  It has a very large selection in a variety of languages, including English, Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, French, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian, Tajikistani, Spanish, German and few others.
And here are the runners-up: these sites may be less appealing due to lower selection, increased shipping costs or delays, or  poorly functioning websites.

4. Al-Itrah Foundation: Appears modeled after Khoei.org in design, based in Dar e Salaam, Tanzania.  Good prices, but that will be countered by shipping costs and time.  Descriptions of books lacking, yet has a good selection.

5. Shia Book Shop: This site is based in Pakistan, books in Urdu only, payment in Rupees.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We and you may ask Allah (S&T) with our sorrowful hearts, distracted emotions, and humble hands for his forgiveness for what is happening to our Family in Gaza; for how they are treated days and nights by cruel Zionists and US for the ancient revenges.

What is happening in Gaza is not a war only against its people, not Palestinians or even Arabs, but against all Muslims and all free humans. 

Today, Rafah border crossing is the slopes of Uhud for the Islamic Ummah and you, the Egyptian students and free people, are in the front line of this battle. 

Your brothers and sisters in Iran and other Islamic countries are awaiting your steps, your actions…

We know that your hearts, the hearts of real owners and rulers of Egypt, are filled like all Muslims in the world with agony and melancholy for the silence and betrayal of Egyptian rulers regarding Israel savage genocide. We know that you, like other Muslims in the world, have come to streets demonstrating and shouting your revolutionary disgust. We know that you Egyptian Mujahids suffer more than others from the betrayal of these treacherous rulers and we know Egypt, the heart of Arab Middle East, struggles in the inauspicious hands of Mubarak.

Dear Egyptian students,

We Iranian students praise your past and present endeavors and efforts and would like to ask you:

1-       Do your best to re-open the Rafah border crossing. Its re-opening will let the waves of Mujahids and humanistic aids reach resisting and enduring Gaza. We know that you have done what you could for this means and are ready to make the final sacrifice for this aim.  Dear Student, Insha’Allah your powerful hands will re-open the Rafah border crossing and it will start a new phase of Islamic movements and will be a great victory for the Resistance Front. This victory is an important step towards establishment of Islamic Ummah and fulfillment of the ideals of Universal Deemed-Weaks (Mostadhafs) Front. Re-opening of Rafah border crossing is the surrender of affiliated rulers to the iron will of Islamic Ummah which can be a model for other liberating movements in Islamic countries.Naturally, to gain such a victory one has to pay a lot.

But what difficult it will be, it is nothing in comparison with iron will of children of Islamic Ummah.

2-      Put pressure on the corrupt and illegal government of Hosni Mubarak to close the dirty Zionists’ Embassy in the honorable Egypt.

3-      Reveal the hypocritical character of that Arab media which justify criminal acts of Zionist Regime and condemn the victim, Hamas, instead of the criminal Israel.

We Iranian students are impatiently eager to fight side by side of defenseless people in Gaza. These days, In addition to street demonstrations we have gathered in Iran’s airports to be sent to Palestine and are determined to wipe off usurping and forged Israel from the map.   

Israel by making a spider web is controlling world’s economy and is trying to spread out the doctrine of consumerism among Muslims to make us more dependent to its products. We Iranian students are trying hard to boycott their products in Iran and other Islamic countries. Our aim is to unify all Islamic movements worldwide and will continue our request from Iran’s government to act against Israel, the corrupt hated Zionist Regime, up to its destruction.    

And now it is you who can re-open the Rafah border crossing with your contribution and sacrifice by putting pressure on Egyptian government and Hosni Mubarak. You can clean up the heroic Egypt of Israeli embassy; it is you who can open the path for Mujahids and humanistic aids to Gaza.

The Islamic Ummah waits for you, rise up and rebel for Allah (S&T) and do not hesitate to sacrifice your lives and properties and know that Allah (S&T) is the Supporter of Mujahids and the helpers of Islam.

We, indeed, wait to receive your ideas and suggestions for improving and increasing the unity of Islamic and liberating movements.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته و بعد:

قال سبحانه و تعالى في محكم كتابه الكريم: (لتجدنّ أشدّ النّاس عداوة للذين آمنوا اليهود)

سلام يفوح بعطر الإيمان من إيران الجهاد و الثورة إلى مصر الإسلام و المسلمين… سلام على ديار العلماء و المجاهدين و حملة القرآن… سلام على الأرض الطاهرة التي لوثتها عمالة الحكّام و مساومتهم مع المجرمين الصهاينة. السلام على أبناء و أبطال النبي الأعظم(صلى الله عليه و آله الطاهرين و صحبه المنتجبين)

الإخوة و الأخوات الأعزّاء!

نتوجّه نحن و أنتم سوياَ بالإنابة و التوبة إلى الله عزوجلّ بقلوب مفعمة بالحزن و الأسى و بأيدي خاشعة، لما جرى و يجري على أهلنا في غزة، و ما يصبّ عليهم من أحقاد دفينة و ألوان العذاب على أيدي المجرمين الصهاينة و الإمريكان في بارقة كلّ ليل و نهار أمام مرأى و مسمع من العالم!

فما يجري اليوم في غزّة هي ليست حرب على غزّة وحدها فحسب بل هي حرب على فلسطين كلّها و على العرب و كافّة المسلمين بل على أحرار العالم بأسرهم.

و معبر رفح اليوم هو (جبل أحد) الأمة الإسلامية و أنتم أيها الجامعيون و أحرار مصر تقفون في الواجهة الأمامية من هذه الحرب الشرسة و الظالمة التي شنّها اليهود أعداء الإسلام و السلام.

إنّ إخوانكم و أخواتكم في إيران و سائر البلدان الإسلامية ينظرون إليكم بلهفة و شوق لما تصنعونه و تسطرونه من أمجاد، و هم منتظرون لما تحققونه من انتصارات رائعة في هذا المسير… إننا نعلم أنّ قلوبكم – و أنتم الحكّام و المالكون الحقيقيون لمصر العروبة و الإسلام- تعتصر ألماَ و حزناَ كسائر شعوب العالم، لما يرتكبه حكّام مصر اليوم بحقّ أهلنا في غزّة، و سكوتهم و خيانتهم لما يجري من تطهير عرقي و قتل و إبادة جماعية بحقّ العزّل من الرجال و النساء و الأطفال الأبرياء أمام مرأى و مسمع من العالم.

و نعلم أيضاَ أنّكم نزلتم إلى الشوارع كسائر مسلمي و أحرار العالم مندّدين بالصمت الجماعي لحكّام الدول العربية و الإسلامية، و رفعتم شعارات الرفض و الإستنكار و السخط الثوري بوجوه الحكّام المتخاذلين المساومين على قضية فلسطين.

و نعلم أيضاَ أنّ قلوبكم أيّها المجاهدون الصامدون المصريون تعتصر ألماَ و أسى قبل غيركم من تسابق الحكّام الخونة المسلّطين على رقاب المسلمين و فضيحتهم أمام حالات المساومة و المداهنة مع اليهود المغتصبين لأرض فلسطين.

و نعلم أيضاَ أنّ مصر التي هي قلب الشرق الأوسط العربي و أرض الكنانة تعاني من اضطهاد و ظلم حكّامها، باحثة عن الخلاص و التحرر من الأنظمة الرجعية.

أيها الجامعيون المصريون الأعزّاء:

نحن الجامعيون الإيرانيون نثني و نقدّر كفاحكم و نضالكم و مساعيكم في الماضي و الحاضر و نطالبكم:

1. أن تبذلوا كلّ ما بوسعكم لفتح معبر رفح الحدودي. إنّ فتح معبر رفح يعني تقديم أنواع الدعم و الإغاثة الإنسانية للمجاهدين و شعب غزّة الصامد المقاوم. و نعلم أنّكم لم و لن تتهاونوا أو تقصّروا في تقديم أيّ دعم و جهد، و لن تبخلوا عن أهلنا في غزّة و أنّكم مستعدون للتضحية بدمائكم الطاهرة في هذا الطريق.

أيها الجامعيون الأعزّاء!

سيتمّ فتح معبر رفح على أيديكم و سواعدكم القوية إن شاء الله، و ستفتح صفحة ناصعة و جديدة في التاريخ الإسلامي، و الإنتصار العظيم لجبهة المقاومة و التصدي و الصمود. و نحن على يقين تامّ أنّ هذا النصر هو خطوة كبرى نحو بناء الأمّة الواحدة، و تحقيق الشعارات المثالية و أطروحات جبهة المستضعفين العالمية. إنّ فتح معبر رفح الحدودي يعني تسليم الحكومات العميلة و الخانعة أمام إرادة و عزيمة الأمّة الإسلامية القوية و الصلبة، و تحويلها إلى نماذج لإقتداء الحركات المستقبلية المتحررة في البلدان الإسلامية.

إنّ استحقاق هذا النصر هو في الحقيقة بحاجة إلى دفع أثمان باهضة. قال الإمام الحسين(عليه السلام) في خطبته في مكّة: (من كان باذلاَ في الله مهجته فليركب معنا)، فكلّماكان دفع الثمن باهضاَ، فهو لاشيء و ذوثمن بخس أمام أهداف الأمة الإسلامية و أمام عزيمتكم و إرادتكم الصامدة.

2. الضغط على دولة حسني مبارك الفاسدة و اللاشرعية لغلق سفارة الصهاينة المجرمين في مصر الشريفة

3. فضح بعض وسائل الإعلام العربية الخائنة و المجرمة المتحايلة على الشعوب العربية و الإسلامية التي تحاول بأساليب عديدة

إعطاء الغطاء الشرعي و المبرّرات الكافية الأخلاقية لهذا الغزو البشع، و التي تحاكم الضحية (حماس) بدلاّ عن الجلّاد التي هي إسرائيل.

I remembered Ramye Jamarat Ceremony at Mina in Hadj when I wached Zaidi’s shoes throwing to President Bush. They are as stones that throwed to Satan’s symbol. In this event they are some points:

1. Bush admitted the reporter didn’t insult me, so the court can take advantage of this expression and release Zaidi.

2. Shoe Intifadha is a good name for this movement which formed in Iraq. Iraqis should not miss this opportunity to fire Americans from Iraq. We should admire Mahmood Mashhadani, head of Iraq parliament, who abdicate to show his anger to Zaidi’s stoppage.

3. Unlike what press said and media reported, you can see in movie that the second shoe strike right on target, the flag of the United States! Iraqis hate America. Americans shouldn’t let their diplomats (including Bush & Obama) to do actions which caused insulting to their flag and country.

* I listened in news the amount of people who pasture from trash cans has increased in Europe. It’s really painful. But maybe they remember Palestinans (especially people of Gaza) in this financial crisis.

For many years the US was a beacon of light and hope to many. It was easy for the dazzled and awestruck to come up with evidence in defence of that country that in the mere two centuries since its appearance on the world map as an independent nation had accomplished more than any other nation in history. That gleaming new and modern nation had become the most powerful, wealthiest and most influential nation on earth. Its political, economic and social systems were models of dynamism, efficiency and achievement. The American way of life amazed, inspired and lured people around the world. More importantly, that country’s awesome material might remained subordinated to the moral might of the country that was the most democratic on earth, the most respectful of law and vigilant in its defence of human liberties and the rights of peoples to self-determination.

Not all, however, were gripped by this image. For some, the image of the US was bleak and far from noble. To them, the history of the US was an uninterrupted train of colonialist expansionism, violence and racism. The train of violence had been set into motion even before the founding of the state, with the beginning of the systematic genocide of the indigenous population, and continued through the dropping of two atom bombs on Japanese cities without any military justification whatsoever. The American history of racism began with the importation of millions of Africans to be sold into slavery and it certainly did not end with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King. America’s record of imperialist expansionism began with the extension of its western frontiers to the Pacific and continued beyond the establishment of its current boundaries by means of its drive to expand its sphere of influence and control, starting with the Western hemisphere (in accordance with the Monroe Doctrine of 1823) and ending with its current hegemony over the international order, a status it is now in the process of trying to secure.

Two antithetical images, but neither belies the important fact that the US in the post-World War II period was far less ugly than colonialist Europe and the Stalinist Soviet Union. Certainly, the presence of rivals on the international stage, regardless of whether it planned on eventually inheriting their estates or containing them, helped restrain Washington’s thirst for power and control, smoothing the way to the helm inside the US for more liberal political forces, be they Republican or Democrat. Yet once it succeeded in elbowing Europe to the side, after the 1956 crisis, and in tying Soviet hands in the Middle East following the 1973 War, the American right wing gradually gained ground and eventually moved into the White House in 1980. Then, following the elimination of the Soviet rival for good, the even more racist and fanatical ultra right grew stronger until it succeeded in taking control over the White House and installing in the Oval Office a repentant alcoholic called George W Bush. With this development, the American drive for global hegemony moved up into full gear.

It is impossible for anyone now to mistake America’s international bearing. The beast has shed all remnants of sheep’s clothing and run rampant, and the ravages in Iraq and Palestine, in particular, testify to a mode of ferocity next to which even the brutal ages of colonialism pale. A power that devastates a country with an ancient civilisation, such as Iraq, causing the death of more than a million of its people and the displacement of a quarter of its population; that permits a blockade intended to starve a defenceless people into submission; that commits horrifically brutal human rights violations in Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib and the CIA’s secret prisons around the world, can not by any stretch of the imagination be called democratic or civilised.

It is difficult to conceive how such a vibrant society as that in the US could produce such a foolhardy, rash and contemptuous administration. Even supposing that a people had not thought very clearly in 2000, how could they have made the same mistake and voted Bush into power for a second time in 2004 in the face of all the evidence of his gross incompetence and criminal deceit? Surely the only possible explanation is that there is something wrong with American society and that the George W Bush phenomenon is not a passing anomaly but rather a reflection of a deep and powerful current of opinion and interests in that society.

True, US society has finally begun to wake up, albeit very late in the day, and has punished Bush in the legislative elections of November 2006 by depriving him of a congressional majority. However, this by no means suggests that a corrective revolution has erupted or that Barack Obama already has a foot in the Oval Office. American society is still deeply divided and all possibilities remain open, including the victory of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who is a rational extension of everything Bush stands for and, therefore, more dangerous. Also, despite his congressional setback, Bush appears so smug in his confidence regarding his base of support that it is impossible to rule out yet another reckless folly engaged under his administration, such as an assault on Iran.

In an article published online 12 April, former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan lists several reasons why “the neocons may get their war on Iran” before Bush leaves the White House. He observes that, in early 2007, Nancy Pelosi withdrew a resolution that would have denied Bush the authority to attack Iran without congressional approval. In September, both houses passed the Kyl-Lieberman resolution designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organisation. “Courtesy of Congress”, he writes, “Bush thus has a blank check for war on Iran. And the signs are growing that he intends to fill it in and cash it.” Among these signs are the major military manoeuvres that took place in the region in the wake of Cheney’s tour. Apart from the trouble Iran is ostensibly causing the US in Iraq, Buchanan notes that Bush has another incentive to go to war: it will drive a wedge between the Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton — who voted for the Kyl- Lieberman resolution — and Obama. With the Democrats at each other’s throats, the path to the White House will be pretty well cleared for McCain.

It would not surprise me if this scenario, which appears to mirror a deep and disturbing facet of US society, comes to pass. But why has this voracious power drive singled out the Middle East and the Arab and Muslim peoples, in particular, for its most brutal forms of aggression?

The Israel or Zionist factor is surely one of the most obvious keys, and it would be naïve to disregard it. Although I am not among those inclined to attribute US policy orientation in the Middle East to the Zionist lobby alone, there is no denying its influence. A relatively new phenomenon in the US, awareness is dawning among a slowly but steadily growing segment of American opinion of the power of the Zionist lobby and the extent to which it jeopardises American strategic interests. Not that this is the first time voices have cried out in the US against the Zionist lobby’s ways of asserting its influence on American decision- making centres and hounding out opponents. We all remember Paul Findley’s They Dared to Speak Out (1982), which exposed the tactics the Zionist lobby used to, among other things, bring about his electoral defeat in the 1982 congressional elections. However, never before has it been possible to come across so many prominent names in American political and academic circles that have begun to level open and harsh criticism at Israel and its advocates in the US. Not least of these are former US President Jimmy Carter who, two years ago, published Palestine: Peace not Apartheid, and Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer who jointly produced The Israeli Lobby and US Foreign Policy, a lengthy and thoroughly documented study on the extent to which that lobby has shaped US policy on the Middle East to promote Israeli over American interests.

The title of Carter’s book speaks for itself. It criticises Israeli policies on settlement expansion and the construction of the apartheid wall as reminiscent of the racist policies of former apartheid South Africa. The former president appears to have weathered the storm his book triggered and the campaign of personal vilification that predictably labelled him anti-Semitic. Apparently he is now preparing for a visit to Damascus to meet with Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal, which I regard as another important step towards breaking Zionist taboos.

The Israeli Lobby and US Foreign Policy originally appeared in the London Review of Books, having initially been turned down for publication by Harvard University Press. Despite ferocious attacks from the Zionist lobby, it evolved into a 500-page bestseller. The book is significant not only because of its scholastic thoroughness but also because of the academic eminence of its authors, one the dean of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and professor of international relations and the other a professor of political science at the University of Chicago. The book furnishes extensive corroboration of the extent to which the influence of the Zionist lobby has penetrated the White House, congress, research centres, the media, universities and other important forums for influencing decision-makers and American public opinion. Among the most significant conclusions of the Walt and Mearsheimer work is that the Zionist lobby was highly instrumental in drawing the US into the war on Iraq and that it is now campaigning to propel the US into another war, this time against Iran.

The book is a breath of fresh air in thinking on US Middle East policy in American academic circles, and it is acquiring some respectable company. The Washington Quarterly, an international affairs journal, recently featured an article entitled “After Iraq: Future US military posture in the Middle East”. Written by Bradley L Bowman, the article reaches the conclusion — startling to Americans, perhaps — that the US military presence in the region is the leading source of an unprecedented rise and spread of terrorism therein.

However, there is little to be gained from chasing rainbows. The blind support for Israel in the US is too strong to be shaken, to which testifies the recently adopted House of Representatives Resolution 185 on the recognition of the rights of “Jewish refugees” from the Middle East. The resolution is not binding, but it is a sign of the shape of things to come, unless someone comes along to save the US from itself and from Israel, and in doing so to save mankind.

The “economic tsunami” can sharply increase poverty and hunger worldwide, raise number of the poor and hungry people, encouraging growth in the unemployment rate. Rafsanjani said.

In the result of this crisis, the goods especially foods prices will increase. Rich people can buy something and continue their normal life, but poor persons will merge in their calamity and will miss more money. So they are the real victims of crisis. This point is something that governments should attend to. This is a threat for societies that they will have more poor persons.

One of the prays that Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) recommended reading it after every prayer in Ramadhan is:

اللهم أدخِل علي أهلِ القُبُورِ السُّرُور، اللهم أغنِ كلَّ فقير، اللهم أشبِع كلَّ جائع، اللهم اكسُ كلَّ عُريان، اللهم اقضِ دَينَ كلِّ مَدين، اللهم فَرِّج عن كلِّ مَكروب، اللهم رُدَّ كلَِّ غَريب، اللهم فُكَّ كلِّ أسير، اللهم أصلِح كلَّ فاسِدٍ مِن أمورِ المُسلِمين، اللهم اشفِ كلَّ مَريض، اللهم سُدَّ فَقرَنا بِغِناك، اللهم غَيِّر سُوءَ حالِنا بحُسنِ حالِك، اللهم اقضِ عنّا الدَّين، و أغنِنا من الفَقر، إنَّكَ علي كلِّ شيءٍ قَدير.

This pray (doa) includes 14 requests from God. 13 requests refer to social problems that show specific attention of Islam to society.

That last point is the issue of Zakate-Fetreh that is Vajeb in Islamic commands. Muslims should pay it to poor people.

Yesterday, I saw my grandmother in my dream and asked her about her situation in the other world (limbo). She answered: “It was not bad”. She was an innocent woman, She was Seyyede. She added: “but we (me and other dead) like to return to your world just for one minute to do some actions, but they (delegates of God) don’t let us…”

Dream is not reliable often, but it can be true in some situations. This event (that I told you) is verified in Islamic traditions (hadith).

How many “one minute”s we miss every day?!!
